Gunthorpe Street

Stepping into this cobblestoned alleyway is like stepping back in time. It was here that the murder of Martha Tabram took place, on the 7th of August 1888 – and the Ripper’s reign of terror began.

The Frying Pan Pub

Standing on the corner of Thrawl Street and Brick Lane, this is where Mary Ann Nichols spent her final night…and is one of the last places she was ever seen alive.

Hanbury Street

Early in the morning of the 8th of September, this is where the mutilated body of Annie Chapman was found. It seemed outrageous that the killer could have gotten away – but how did he do it?

Christ Church and the Ten Bells

Nicholas Hawksmoor’s masterpiece has towered over Whitechapel since 1729, and stands next door to the infamous Ten Bells pub – frequented, no doubt, by all of the Ripper’s victims…and surely the killer himself.

The murder of Elizabeth Stride

On the 30th of September, the killer struck again – with TWO appalling murders in one night. Learn of what happened in Dutfield’s Yard, and hear the truth about the ‘Double Event’.

Mitre Square

Visit the exact spot where Catherine Eddowes was found, investigate the evidence, and learn the shocking facts of one of the Ripper’s most horrible crimes.

Goulston Street

In the original Victorian doorway of 108-119, which still stands today, the killer left his most important clue of all – but what does it mean? Does it help to solve the mystery?

Miller’s Court / Dorset Street

Early in the morning of the 9th of November, this is where the horrible murder of Mary Kelly took place. It was the Ripper’s most shocking crime of all, and some say it was his last…but was it really?

“Jack the Ripper” letters

Learn how the killer got his name, with a series of taunting letters to the Central News Agency. Written in blood-red ink, one was allegedly sent with half of a human kidney – but were they really sent by the killer himself?

Who was Jack the Ripper?

Discounting the nonsense and conspiracies, learn who was suspected at the time…and, with the latest evidence and insights, find out who the police should have been looking for all along.
